They Stole Comrade Stalin... You B*******

From my visit to Statue (or Memento) Park in Budapest. The park opened in 1993 and features comunist's time statues and scuptures. It is not intended as a tribute to the past times but rather as a reminder of the regime that greatly restricted man's rights and liberties and ruled by opression. Still, now - 18 years after the collapse of the regime - there's a substantial number of people who belive life under the Comunists' rule was better.

This statue of Stalin was erected in 1951 on Felvonulasi Square in Budapest, but was cut off during the 1956 popular uprising so only boots (or legs) remained.
